The year 2012 witnessed a greater occupation of female members in arts, education and medicine. While there was slight difference in the proportions of both men and women working in the medical department with over 40 percent, the educational department suffered from an overwhelming discrepancy with approximately under 80 per cent for women and just over 20 percent for men. Based in the statistics in the arts faculty, female and male members accounted for under 60 percent and above 40 percent, respectively.
In contrast, there was a significant difference between the proportions of male and female members in engineering with the figures over 80 percent and under 20 percent, respectively. There was a similar trend in both genders across science and business. Particularly, for both these departments, the men employees occupied over 60 percent compared with under 40 per cent for women. In the law faculty, while men workers contributed only 60 per cent, the proportion of women was 20 percent lower than that of men.
