Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The line chart illustrates the percentages of the various recycled materials between 1982 and 2010 in a certain nation. Overall, it is clear that the percentages of recycled items witnessed a significant increase in about three decades.

Paper and glass were the materials which accounted for over a half in 1982, in particular, at 50 percent and just over 60 percent, respectively. After that, they underwent a remarkable fluctuation until 1994. While the glass containers stood at as same as in 1982, the paper and cardboard reached a peak of 80 percent in 1994. The later witnessed different trends. In particular, glass rubbish developed steadily until it reached a peak of 60 percent, whereas there was a stable decrease in paper and cardboard until reaching 70 percent in 2010.

In the late twenty-first century, there was considerable growth in aluminum recycled cans from just under 10 percent in 1986 to over 40 percent in 2010. In 1990, the recycled plastic items also occupied under 10 percent as same as the beginning of aluminum recycled bottles, but the later 20-year period suffered from a very slight rise and remaining constant in these metal recycled items.
