Despite the fact that the phenomenon of using the Internet does not grab a headline as frequently as other matters of communication media, it does not mean that it is less conscious. As a matter of fact, the Internet plays a significantly key role in our daily lives. However, a wide range of problems arising from surfing the web is a pressing issue that we can neither turn a blind eye nor turn a deaf ear to it anymore. The objective of this essay is to analyze these major problems and suggest some constructive approaches to deal with it.

It is first recognized that this issue is attributed to offensive contents. The case is true that curious children are more likely to be exposed to pornography and other forms of negative content online as they easy access to technologies that enable them to connect to the Internet where these resources are widely available. Consequently, these materials impact children's attitudes, behaviors, and social relationships. Another reason should be taken into account is that the variety of websites is the major contributor to the problem. It is evident that the Internet remains a common source of general information for users because of convenience and fast, but its accuracy of the information has not been evaluated and verified by reliable researches. As a result, it is difficult to search for exact information with an incredible variety of content on the web pages.

To tackle this phenomenon, countless measures have been applied, among which the key one is that the government should bear a responsibility to set up the strict law in order to penalize individuals and organizations, which provided users not only obscene materials but also false contents for relevance. Equally important, parents find the best ways to control what their children see online. Last but not least, an education program to raise the young generation’s awareness of how to use the global network effectively and safely would be a reliable resolution for this case.

The matter of using the web has been arousing people’s concern. Actually, there is not the best remedy only that we should take. However, it is noticed that we had better take strong action to prohibit worse cases and hopefully things are changing in the future.
