Water deficiency

       Water resource over the world is falling deficient. Analyze the potential causes and possible solutions to deal with it.

       Despite the fact that the phenomenon of water deficiency does not grab a headline as frequently as other matter of environment, it does not mean that it is less conscious. As a matter of fact, water plays a significantly important role in our daily life. However, the state of being deficient is a pressing issue that we cannot turn a blind eye or we cannot turn a deaf ear to it anymore. The objective of this essay is to elaborate the force behind this trend and suggest some constructive approaches to deal with it.

        It is first recognized that the water shortage is attributed to escalating population. The case is true that a great deal of water is required to satisfy human’s ever-growing appetite for household, manufacture and agriculture, which heavily burdens to water circulation. A part from it, human’s being less conscious also affects this problem. In fact, people tend to take source of water for granted by leaving tap running while brushing their water or washing their face. A typical example for this case that the contaminated materials from factory have been dumped into the river or stream. It is evident that the local residents near the factory probably suffer from various cancers if they use this water source for household. Another reason should be taken into account is that global warming is the major contributor of water deficiency. As a result, the two massive ice sheets at Earth poles are melting to rise in sea level and lastly salt water penetrates into the underground aquifer which contains fresh water.

        To tackle this phenomenon, countless measures have been applied, among which the key one is that government should bear a responsibility to set up the strict law in order to penalize factories and residents that do not abide by the law regarding water protection. Equally important, the spontaneous commitment of individual should be carried out to avoid dumping waste into fresh water flow. Last but not least, education program to raise young generation’s awareness on not only water recycling but also rain water harvesting would be reliable resolution for this case.

              The matter of water deficiency has been arousing people’s concern. Actually, there is not the best only remedy that we should take. However, it is noticed that we had better take strong action to prohibit worse case and hopefully things are changing in the future.
